Hi everyone, and welcome to Adventure is Out There!
The Disney fans among you might know that the name “Adventure is Out There” is borrowed directly from the ever popular, sob-inducing, Pixar classic Up.
So you might think from that name that this would be a travel blog. I have considered writing a travel blog several times – I love travel, but sadly I only get the usual 20 days holiday plus bank holidays per year, so my posts there would be few and far between. As such, I relegate all travel related posts to my personal blog, Rebel Angel, and my Disney blog, Disney Days.
But no, Adventure is Out There is going to be something different: a blog all about personal finance and blogging. Maybe one day it will fund those adventures around the world, but I’m all for embracing the fact that adventures begin at home, and this is one of mine.
Having worked in the digital world at a digital marketing agency for nearly 5 years, and having been a blogger for nearly 8 years now, I’ve got a few tips to share with you about blogging, making money online and managing it.
Most people hear the words “making money online” and think it’s some kind of a scam. I’m here to tell you that it’s not. I’ve been earning an income from blogging itself for a few years now, and it’s almost reached the point of being a sustainable full-time income by itself. But it has taken work, sometimes hard work, usually work that’s also fun, but it is work, just like most sources of income.
So if you’re here to find out how to optimise your presence online to start earning an income from it – stick around! There’ll be SEO tips, social media guidance, content creation ideas, personal finance advice and even more.
